Scanjet Marine AB, one of the world leading producer of fixed and portable tank cleaning equipment now introduce the anti-pirate water cannon. The Swedish company has developed a Marine Protection System based on existing tank cleaning technology.

The patented anti-pirate water cannon system is powered by an integrated turbine, driven by the water flow. The system will remain running until the vessel is safe and the pumps are switched off.

"Scanjet has produced an all new water cannon defence system, a system that will protect the crew, vessel and cargo, making boarding at sea virtually impossible, and all this without a singel shot being fired. We have used our water jet technology to develop a product that we expect will meet our customer’s demands for protection. The production of all our machines including this one is located at our factory in Sweden, where we also have our R&D," says Magnus Wallin, President of Scanjet Marine AB.

By strategically placing the water cannons around the vessel, 100% coverage can be obtained, boarding becomes very difficult. The system can often be powered by existing pumps so no extra equipment may need to be purchased. The system can be remotely and safely operated from any look out post around the vessel. When the pirates approach, the system comes to life and your crew and cargo remains safe. The system will also work continuously in dark and night-time conditions.
