About 900 staff of Meyer Turku, the Finnish cruise ship builder, have staged a 36 hour walk out.

“The workers have in their statement presented strong accusations against the employer. The management of Meyer Turku does not recognise the allegations as they have been presented, but takes them seriously,” the company said in a statement.

The matter would be settled in talks between the workers concerned and the management of the company. There is a valid contract on terms of work between the staff of the company and the management, Meyer Turku said.
