In its latest effort to promote its business, Pullmantur announced that it would broadcast all 31 games of this year’s UEFA championship, between the 8 June and the 1 July, onboard all its ship. The news came only a day before the commencement of the championship, Alan Lam reports.
The line reached a last-minute agreement with UEFA to transmit the games, live, via Canal Sport 24. Given Spain’s previous success in the World Cup 2010, this feature will definitely be a popular viewing option among Pullmantur’s passengers. The games will be shown on giant screens onboard. Pullmantur took the opportunity of this occasion to further emphasize the “all inclusive” and “100% Spanish ambience” aspects of its services.
The line also stated that it had previously prepared for the “fiesta” atmosphere onboard its ships on account of the Euro 2012; the moods surrounding the giant screens will be genuinely Spanish, full of emotion and passion for football, akin to those on shore in Spain. Pullmantur is the Spanish unit of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (RCCL).
